Impact Selector’s Xcalibur E-line wireline jar is a powerful yet cost effective way to reduce risk in electric wireline cased hole operations.

With the smaller cables used for cased hole operations there is often a very limited amount of overpull available to free stuck tools.

The Xcalibur jar acts to greatly increase the force available at the cablehead through using energy stored in compressed springs and the wireline itself to create a powerful upwards impulse on the tools. As the force acts on the bottom of the jar, the cablehead is protected from the impact and remains unaffected.

The jar activation force can be easily adjusted at surface while in the string to account for different operations.
Available in a range of sizes and with all major types of mono-conductor connection, Xcalibur is ideal for most logging, perforating, pipe recovery and plug setting operations.

Perforating Roller Bogie tools are installed between gun sections with conventional detonating cord feedthroughs to ensure reliable ballistic transfer. The complete string is lifted on to highly efficient rollers, eliminating contact friction and allowing easier and deeper wellbore access.

The roller body rotates freely around the mandrel which is connected to the host tool string. • Low maintenance requirements

                  • Available for all tubing sizes

                    Benefits:

                    • Reach extended depths and higher deviations without the need for costly services such as coiled tubing or wireline tractors.

                    • Lower pickup weight means reduced wire loading.

                    • More effective and visible jarring at greater depth or higher deviation due to efficient transfer of mass.

                    • Maintain completion integrity by protecting coated and high-chrome tubulars.

                    • Improve data quality by eliminating stick-slip and achieving more constant logging speeds.

Operators can perform the work using the same equipment without changing wireline operating procedures resulting in time savings with less risk. This is the most efficient conveyance system available for deviated intervention work when used in conjunction with E-line, slickline and other Roller Bogie tools.

Used in most wellbore conditions, up to 87° deviation, Guide Roller Bogie tools are installed on the bottom end of the tool string.

With independent swiveling, the self-orienting roller body ensures the rollers are oriented at all times to the low side of the tubing. The tool string is lifted onto large, highly efficient rollers, eliminating contact friction and enabling easier and deeper wellbore access. Running weight remains positive and steady; pick-up weight is greatly reduced and the risk of wire breakage is lowered.

Guide Roller Bogie tools are available in a wide range of sizes to pass through all wellbore restrictions and can be ordered with a choice of connection types to suit individual tool string requirements.

The I-Wheel™ Tandem Sub is an inline conveyance solution designed to replace perforating tandem subs with a rollerized design that minimizes friction and allows explosives to reach further in deviated wells.

The custom engineered sub is specifically designed to facilitate the deployment of Impact Selector’s patented I-Wheel™ in perforating gun strings. It features perforating gun thread connections and a profile to suit the I-Wheel™.

The I-Wheel Tandem Sub is efficient, consistent, and reliable in highly deviated wells up to 84°. It can be placed above, below, or between gun sections, with the detonating cord run through the mandrel. The entire gun assembly is lifted onto highly efficient rollers, eliminating modeled contact friction by up to 80% and allowing easier and deeper wellbore access without the need for wireline tractors.

When used in combination with an eccentric weight bar, Impact Selector’s I-Wheel™ Tandem sub significantly reduces the torque required to orient the string. I-Wheel™ Tandem Subs are available in a wide range of sizes and can be ordered with a choice of connection types.

                            • Modular system.

                            • Fast set-up on surface.

                              Benefits:

                              • Reduces cost, reaches extended depths and higher deviation without the need for more costly interventions services.

                              • Reduces risk, no power required from surface to operate OPT.

Impact Selector’s Oriented Perforating Tool (OPT) is a wireline deployed passive roller platform which is used in combination with Impact Selector’s Roller Bogie® conveyance system.

The OPT is connected to the bottom of the gun string, ensuring that the gun rotates and the perforating charges are positioned at the preferred orientation in relation to the low side. This method ensures that pro- duction opportunity is optimized by perforating in the desired fracture plane.

The OPT is made up of modular weight-biased sections that combine to deliver torque to the gun assembly, rotating the guns to the desired direction of fire. Gun alignment is adjusted manually on surface using an indexing system to select the required orientation prior to running in hole.

The dial up indexing feature of the OPT ensures fast orientation set up. Unlike certain other systems, the OPT places no restriction on the size or type of shape charge that can be used.

The OPT has been used globally with a proven track record of success, reducing both cost and risk in perforating operations.

Relative Bearing Tool is a ballistic-rated wireline real-time data measurement device that verifies downhole toolstring orientation.

The high resolution, solid state3 axis accelerometers provide the industry's most straight forward measurement for validating gun orientation prior to initiating gun firing, thereby allowing time for gun repositioning and/or understanding the actual shot direction, giving you a whole new level of control.

As oriented perforating becomes more important, especially where fiber lines and alignment is critical, the Relative Bearing Tool gives you insight on where to perforate PRIOR to the shot.

As an integral part of Impact Selector’s Intelligent Conveyance Solutions, pre-job modeling provides the service company and operator with insights into optimum tool string design, wire selection and other operational fundamentals.

The results of pre-job modelling such as availability of overpull at target depth can be used to calculate the best setting for an open or cased hole wireline jar to avoid accidental firing when pulling out of hole, but ensure the jar will fire before maximum pull at surface is reached.

Impact Selector has conducted in-house testing to measure the friction reduction capabilities of our Roller Bogie and I-Wheel tools when strategically placed along any wireline tool string. When the results of these tests are combined with the ability to reduce the resistive frictional forces of independent tools in a computer model the output clearly demonstrates and quantifies the benefits of roller systems.
